We love our furry friends!
We love our furry friends here at the Canterbury Inn and try to make their stay just as comfortable as yours! Dogs are welcome in rooms designated as “Pet Friendly.” If you plan on bringing your dog, please book a “Pet Friendly” room. We authorize a $150.00 pet damage hold at check-in which is taken to cover any potential damage a dog can create. The $150.00 is a preauthorization on your credit card. The daily pet fees will be taken out of this amount and that will be the only amount charged providing there is no damage. Please note that in the event your dog(s) do more than $150.00 worth of damage, you can be charged an additional sum to cover the costs.
Pet Fee
Don’t worry, Housekeeping checks the room after your departure once you are completely checked out and you would immediately be notified of any issues. Due to Covid-19 we no longer do pet checks while you wait. There is a daily fee of $15.00 plus tax charged per dog. We limit two dogs per pet-friendly room and ask that they be under 75lbs. If your dog is more than 75lbs an additional fee may be accessed. Please note we do not check dogs in and out. This means if you have one dog and a reservation for 5 days, you will be paying the pet fee for all nights even if the dog doesn’t arrive the first night or departs on the third night as an example. It should be noted that emotional support dogs are not classified as service dogs and are treated as pets. If you are bringing a service dog your service animal is expected to behave as such and remain in control of its handler at all times. Service dogs are the only animals exempt from fees and our staff will ask you what service it provides for its handler.
Do not leave dogs unattended
Additionally, because these are privately owned condo units, we ask that you use the pet blankets we provide (or your own) should your furry companion like the furniture. Our Inn is NOT CAT FRIENDLY
Bringing a cat onto our property will result in a $500.00 violation fee and daily pet fees for all days it was there. Additionally, we reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning and damages. If you are looking for a CAT-FRIENDLY hotel, the only one that allows cats in Ocean Shores is the Polynesian Resort. They only have one room that accommodates them, so you must specify you need a cat room.
